Our second Freimann performance of the 2012/13 season begins with Bohemian composer, Antonin Dvorak's Piano Quintet No. 2 in A Major. Recognized as one of Dvorak's sophisticated masterpieces, the Piano Quintet No. 2 is richly infused with Bohemian folk elements and includes themes shared with a Czech love song, proclaiming "I would gladly perish by the sweet power of your eyes, if your beautiful smile did not return me to life."
The second work on the program is Schubert's last string quartet, the String Quartet No. 15 in G Major. Composed during the final years of Schubert's life, his bold String Quartet No. 15 is nothing short of revolutionary.
Tickets for each show are just $22.
