Ensembles in the Schools

Seven Phil ensembles offer 35-minute in-school educational presentations that include musical performances, instrument demonstrations, and student participation as well as question and answer sessions. Programs are designed to address the Indiana Department of Education Standards of Learning in music and may be crafted to support multi-disciplinary curriculum themes ranging from science to history. Two back-to-back performances at one site may be booked for one fee.

We have ensembles that represent each of the different instrument groups of the orchestra.  They include strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion.  Each ensemble offers a unique and entertaining experience for students to learn about playing music.

We are already looking at booking shows for the 2012-2013 season.  For more information about the In-School Ensemble Program, call Diane Dickson at 260.481.0757 or email ddickson@fwphil.org.
